Part 1: How to download videos from websites
Kigo Video Downloader is designed for Mac users who want to download videos from more than 1000 websites like YouTube, Liveleak, Howcast, etc. It is excellent and easy-to-use, you just need to paste valid videos' URL to the window and click the Start button.
Step 1: Add videos' URL you want to download
Kigo Video Downloader provides two methods to add video's URL for you:
Method 1. Click Paste URL button (Or through menu File-> New Download) and paste the URL in the pops-up window. Then click OK to parse the link.
Tips: If you have copied a URL, then it will parse the URL directly when you click the button Paste URL.
Method 2. Drag the URL of the video playback to the Downloading list to parse the link.
After URL parsed correctly, the videos will be displayed in Downloading list.
Step 2: Download options setting
A lot of the videos are divided into multiple segments, including advertisements. After analyze the URL complete, all segments and ads will be listed as below. You can free download video clips, including ads. The fragment of less than 15 seconds is default unchecked.
Multiple segments is displayed with Name, Time, Format, Resolution, Size according to the resolve the situation. Click OK to start downloading.
When you download different resolution videos, you must play it first and set the right resolution in the video settings. Then paste the URL to download.
Step 3: Select the file you want to download. Click Start to begin downloading.
After the download is complete, the video files are automatically saved to the Finished list.
If you want to download files and then quickly start the conversion, you can click the button to slide it ON state.
Part 2: How to convert any Videos
This part of Kigo Video Downloader is an excellent video converter which supports all-in-one solution for Mac users to convert all popular video formats including FLV, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, MOV, AVI, M2TS, MPEG TS/TP (for HD Video) etc.
Step 1: Import Videos
There are 2 video sources you can choose: downloaded website videos and local videos.
Import local videos
Click the Add Video button, locate the videos and select the files you want to import, and then you can see all the files you choose are shown in the file list. You can also drag files to the list directly from your disc or other location.
Load Web Videos
It's really convenient to load the videos which downloaded from web. There are two methods below:
Method 1 - Click the button to slide it ON state, and set the Profile as output, and then the finished downloading videos will automatically be added to the Converting list.
Method 2 - Click the library Finished, you will find all downloaded files, and select the file you want to convert and click the button Add To Convert List, or drag it to the list directly. Then all the files you selected are shown in the Converting list.
Step 2: Output profile settings
Video file settings
You can set profile of each file in the list by selecting it and clicking the Profile button. Then the settings window will show up.
- Profile: It will change the output profile of the current file you selected.
- Customize: You can Save Current Profile as customize profile, and Rename Current Custom Profile / Delete Current Custom Profile to modify it.
- General: You can customize the Output Filename, Output Directory, Start/Stop Time of converting in this general tab.
- Video: This program gives you the rights to customize the Video Codec, Video Size, Video Bitrate, Video FPS, Keep Aspect as you wish.
- Audio: You can customize the Audio Codec, Audio Bitrate, Sample Rate, Audio Channel, A/V Sync if it's needed.
- Subtitle: You can add an extra subtitle (srt, ass, ssa, smi subtitle format supported) into the video, and set the properties of the subtitles, including Font Size, Subtitle Alignment and Subtitle Encoding.
Step 3: Click Convert Now! to begin converting.
When completed, you can find the converted files in the Finished library.
